In a secret assessment, the CIA reveals that Russia meddled in the US election to help Donald Trump win.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.” Those were the words of Donald Trump in July as he urged Moscow to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails.

But did Russia actually help President-Elect Trump win the US election?

That’s what the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) says, as reported by The Washington Post. As expected, Trump has called the CIA assessment “ridiculous” and said it was used by the Democrats as “just another excuse.”

The Obama administration has since ordered a review into Russian influence in the election, which was held in November.
