Ico Maly

Associate Professor
Ico Maly is an associate professor at Tilburg University in The Netherlands and editor-in-chief of Diggit Magazine. His recent research focuses on the impact of digitalization on politics and activism in general and New Right activism, politics and ideology in particular. He is a senior fellow at Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right and is a member of the editorial board of Trabalhos em Linguística Aplicada. Maly is the author of several books, including “New Right,” “Contemporary Anti-Enlightenment” and “The Civilization Machine: US and Islam,” and has co-authored “Superdiversity & Democracy” with Jan Blommaert and Joachim Ben Yakoub. Maly has also edited the award-winning “Culture and Politics: About Media, Globalization and Cultural Identities.”
