Vardaan Nayar is doctoral scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, where he completed his master’s degree. He has held research positions at IISER Bhopal and IIIT Delhi. His research focuses on the philosophy of technology and AI policy and governance. He is specifically working on artificial moral agency and conceptions of relational agency. For his master’s, Vardaan’s work included integrating AI into humanities pedagogy. He previously worked as a clinical and experimental psychologist focused on digital societies and the impact of social media on body esteem.
