Ozichi Emeziem is a Nigerian-American studying at the University of California, Berkeley. She majors in Comparative Literature and Ethnic Studies. Emeziem is an intern at the Multicultural Community Center on campus, which is a space that celebrates the narratives of marginalized communities of color through events, art exhibits and critical discussions. She has also been a facilitator of the longest running DeCal on campus, the FemSex space for peers to critically analyze social constructions of society such as gender, sexuality and the impact of power and privilege. Her work focuses on the intersections that comprise identity, and she also explores approaches to empower women of color.
