Joost de Kluijver is a Dutch social entrepreneur. He built a diverse professional career spanning the tech, corporate and international non-profit sectors, which included working as a consultant for Accenture and contributing to the Global Reporting Initiative. He co-owned an electronics reuse business before founding Closing the Loop in 2012. As CEO, he pioneered a “One-for-One” waste reduction service that matches one device added to the market in the global North with one end-of-life device collected and recycled in the global South. De Kluijver studied at the University of Amsterdam and completed leadership training at the THNK School of Leadership. He is also active in the Ashoka network.
