Ioannis Mademlis is a Greek AI research scientist and essayist based in Athens, Greece. He is an adjunct professor of computer vision at the University of Athens and a student of European Culture & History at the Hellenic Open University. He came to essay writing through a long-standing interest in the intersection of technology, politics and the humanities. His work explores democratic culture, historical memory and the social effects of digital systems. His essays have appeared in PopMatters and Merion West.
