Gurusaday Batabyal is a retired Colonel of the Indian Army. He is a graduate of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (India), a postgraduate of Defence Studies and International relations, and a doctoral scholar of Visva Bharati, Santiniketan, pursuing research on the Bangladesh Liberation War. He has served as Commander of the Indian Peace Keeping Contingent in South Lebanon in 1998-99 and represented India in an international project End State: Exit Strategy. Since 2006, he has been serving in the corporate sector as CEO of an IT Company and now executive director of an engineering consultancy firm. He is a regular speaker at various seminars in India and Bangladesh.
