Deborah Fiorin

Deborah Fiorin is an analyst at Protection Group International (PGI), specializing in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her research interests include humanitarian interventions and conflict resolution in the Middle East and North Africa. She has written extensively on Libya, its politics and the 2011 revolution. She has worked for nongovernmental organizations and the US Department of Cultural Affairs in New York City. She was born in Italy, educated in the US, France, Italy and Britain. She holds two BAs, one in International Relations and one in Philosophy, and an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
