Cynthia Farahat is an Egyptian-American political analyst, counterterrorism expert and author. She is a fellow at the Middle East Forum and is known for her extensive research into the Muslim Brotherhood. She has over 20 years of experience researching Islamic jurisprudence and history. Farahat cofounded the Liberal Egyptian Party and the Misr El-Umm party. She has briefed over 300 congressional offices, and she advises US intelligence and law enforcement agencies on national security and counterterrorism. Farahat authored The Secret Apparatus: The Muslim Brotherhood’s Industry of Death (2022).
