Bayan Khaled is a research fellow at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA in Science in Business Administration and a minor in psychology, she went on to complete her MA in Journalism and Communications from the University of Western Ontario. During her studies, Khaled developed a passion for writing poetry and producing videos on topics she feels strongly about, particularly Islam and the Palestinian cause. Her education and experience have added to her wide range of skills in research, storytelling, designing, event planning and video production. Before joining CIS, she worked at Al Jazeera as a video producer and, later, at Hill + Knowlton as a public relations professional.
