Avtar Mota is a poet, author, photographer, and art critic. His writings on the art and culture of Kashmir appear regularly in newspapers, journals, and on his blog, Chinar Shade. His books, “The Tulips And The Snowstorm”, “Landscape And Lament—Art, Exile And The Rebel Artist”, “The Books You Missed to Read” and “The Essays That May Change Your Beliefs”, have been well received and extensively reviewed in the newspapers. These books are available on Amazon worldwide. He is currently working on two books: “American Travelogue” and “The Journey of Art in the Kashmir Valley”. His Kashmiri poetic collection, “Vunal Ta Safar” (The Fog and the Journey), is also under publication.
