Aliyah Omar is a Somali-Canadian Journalist and an Assistant Editor at Fair Observer. She was born in the Greater Toronto Area and has lived in Edmonton, on Treaty 6 territory, for a decade. With a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Alberta, she has published articles on sociopolitical, economic and humanitarian concerns.
