Uttam Roy is a graduate in International Relations from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is a Research Assistant with the DRaS-Praghna Centre for Research, currently researching Somali Piracy. His research interests include public policy, global governance, and South-South cooperation. Previously, he has worked with the Foreign Policy Research Centre on India’s foreign policy. Uttam is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali and has a basic understanding of Spanish. He is passionate about evidence-based policymaking and is committed to bridging regional and global inequalities.
