Tom Bateman

Tom Bateman is Professor of Political Science at St Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. His teaching and research interests are in Canadian government and politics, constitutional law and politics, federalism, and the history and politics of liberalism.  He has an abiding interest in religion and politics. He is co-author of The Canadian Regime: An Introduction to Parliamentary Government in Canada (University of Toronto Press), now in its eighth edition, and co-editor of The Court and the Constitution: Leading Decisions and The Court and the Charter: Leading Decisions, both in their third editions and soon to be published by the University of Toronto Press. His articles have appeared in the Canadian Journal of Political Science, the International Journal of Human Rights, the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law, and the Supreme Court Law Review, among others.
