Tanisha Desai

Tanisha Desai is a high school student in an IBDP program at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She likes to call herself an expressionist. From the visual arts, writing, dance, and drama to TED-Ed, ventriloquism and playing the guitar, the arts have paved the way for Tanisha to express herself. She aspires to be an author and illustrator. Tanisha is currently working on curating digital illustrations for a children's storybook and has started writing a novel. She is passionate about battling societal issues using writing and art as her weapons. Tanisha has been conducting art workshops to raise funds for the underprivileged. She is a recipient of the REX Karmaveer Chakra award instituted by iCONGO in partnership with the United Nations for her contributions to society. Tanisha's recent essay submission on empathy was handpicked to be showcased at the Global Empathy conference in Prague in May 2024.
