Shaili Patel is an Indian-American psychiatrist. She earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, and holds a master’s in public health from UC Berkeley. She discovered her passion for writing in medical school, where she began using poetry to examine and critique gaps in healthcare. She is passionate about women's mental health, holistic medicine, the immigrant experience and bridging Western psychiatry with Eastern approaches to healing.
