Scott Fenstermaker is a 1984 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, and a graduate of the American prisoner of war training (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape. He is also a former officer in the United States Air Force, holds Masters’ degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics and Public Administration, a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, and a Masters of law degree in Taxation from NYU Law School.Fenstermaker is the former retained counsel for Ammar al-Baluchi, Rahim al-Nashiri, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, and Mustafa bin-Ahmed al-Hawsawi, all current or former detainees in Camp 7 at the United States Naval Station at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.
