Saffeya Ahmed is a student journalist attending Virginia Commonwealth University with a background in reporting on politics, arts, culture and religion. Based in Richmond, Virginia, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Digital Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She is a contributor for RVA Magazine and staff writer for her university’s independent publication, The Commonwealth Times.
