Roshni Kapur is a PhD student at the Department of Indian Languages and Culture and the Department of Conflict and Development Studies at the University of Ghent, focusing on caste and land conflicts among Jaffna Tamils. She specializes in identity politics, political violence, transitional justice, post-war reconciliation and domestic and party politics of South Asia. She is a Visiting Research Fellow at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES) in Sri Lanka. She is the editor of the volume “Sustainable Energy Transition in South Asia: Challenges and Opportunities” and of an upcoming volume on the 2022 economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
