Rainer Ebert is a Research Fellow in the Discipline of Philosophy at the University of South Africa and previously held academic appointments at the University of Houston, the Centre de Recherche en Éthique in Montréal, the University of Dar es Salaam and the University of Johannesburg. He graduated from Rice University in Texas with a PhD in Philosophy in 2016 and has published and lectured widely on issues in moral theory, applied ethics and political philosophy. He is also a regular columnist for newspapers in the US and a number of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
