Peter Samuelson has been the president of First Star since he co-founded the organization in 1999, an enterprise of seventeen high school academies on college campuses for youth in foster care. Peter likewise serves as the CEO of PhilmCo Media LLC, a company dedicated to producing empathetic films that help improve society. In 1982, he co-founded the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Peter now lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife of thirty-five years, Saryl. Peter’s book, Finding Happy, is set to be published by Simon & Schuster/Regalo on June 10, 2025.
