Nijhoom is a Bangladeshi-British lawyer, writer and researcher based in London. He is licensed as a barrister and solicitor in both Australia and New Zealand and currently works as a consultant lawyer and caseworker in the UK. He founded the International Crimes Research Foundation, a global initiative that examines international crimes, tribunals and legal systems, and he leads its legal research team. A published author of five books, Nijhoom has been writing since 2007 and contributes widely to Bangladeshi print and online media. He regularly appears on TV and radio to discuss law, politics and society. Deutsche Welle has recognized him as one of the world’s top online activists. He lives in London with his barrister wife and their two children.
