Luiz Silveira is a journalist who works as a senior reporter for the Sou Agro Movement, a think tank on Brazilian agri-business. His background in this area was built after six years as a reporter and editor for business newspapers such as DCI, Gazeta Mercantil, and Brasil Economico. Born in Sao Paulo with no connection to agriculture, he spends most of his time in rural areas, getting to know small scale farmers and “agrinvestors”. Luiz was invited to the European Union Visitors Program in 2011 and had the chance to discuss the development of agriculture from a European perspective. Luiz was honored with the Regis Alimandro Prize of Journalism in Agribusiness. He holds a degree in Finance and hopes to resume his study of History at some point
