Jutyar Zhazhlaiy is a university lecturer, published translator and short story writer. Since 2007, he has been publishing written and translated literary texts and short stories in local newspapers, magazines and websites. His debut translated book, “Sêşemman Legel Morîy” (Tuesdays with Morrie) came out in 2014 and became the bestseller in Sulaimani, Iraq for months after its publication. Zhazhlaiy is now preparing two other books, “The Power of Now” and “The Five People You Meet in Heaven,” for publication. He teaches translation in the Department of English at the University of Sulaimani, Iraq.
