Juliane Matthey is a press officer at Reporters Without Borders. She monitors the situation of press freedom in North, Central and South America as well as the EU. After studying journalism and political science in Eichstaett in Germany and Aberdeen in Scotland, Matthey reported as a travel journalist from several countries in Latin America and Europe. Before joining Reporters Without Borders in 2018, she also worked as an agency correspondent in Germany and as an editor at the network for n-ost, a news agency producing content on Eastern Europe.
