Johannes Nugroho

Born and raised in Suharto's Indonesia, Johannes Nugroho first experienced the outside world when he spent six years studying in Melbourne, Australia. Although majoring in international business studies, he found writing and literature to be his greatest passion. He is currently working on what he hopes will be his first novel, set in 1998 Indonesia, when President Suharto's 32-year rule came to an abrupt end amid chaos and riots.
