Dr. Joanna Rozpedowski is a political scientist and international law scholar whose work explores the evolving architecture of global security, the laws of armed conflict, and transatlantic political dynamics. She is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Center for International Policy, a Washington, DC-based think tank, and teaches international relations and political theory at leading universities in the United States and Europe. She is the author of Space Wars: How State Conflict is Going Extraterrestrial (2023), a critical examination of the militarization of outer space and its implications for sovereignty, deterrence, and international law. Her research and commentary have appeared in The Independent (UK), The National Interest, RealClear Defense, Opinio Juris, and a range of peer-reviewed academic journals. Dr. Rozpedowski’s expertise spans international humanitarian law, geopolitical competition in the Arctic, and judicial accountability mechanisms for war crimes. In addition to her academic roles, she has served in analytical and advisory capacities for U.S. government agencies. Educated in both the United States and the United Kingdom, she is the recipient of numerous academic fellowships and research awards and maintains an active international research portfolio.
