Ioannis Mantzikos is a PhD candidate at the University of the Free State, South Africa. He holds a Master’s degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and has conducted postgraduate research at King’s College London. He is the author of “The Transformation of Al-Qaeda in the Middle East and North Africa.”
