Farhad Daftary

Farhad Daftary is the Director and Head of the Department of Academic Research and Publications at the Institute of Ismaili Studies. An authority in Ismaili Studies, Professor Daftary is the General Editor of Ismaili Heritage Series, Ismaili Texts and Translations Series, and Shi'i Heritage Series. He is the author and editor of some 20 books, including “The Isma’ilis” (1990), “The Assassin Legends” (1994) and “A History of Shi’i Islam” (2013). He completed his graduate studies in America, receiving a PhD degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
