Erik Jones is Professor of European Studies at the SAIS Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University. He is author of Economic Adjustment and Political Transformation in Small States (2008) and The Politics of Economic and Monetary Union (2002) and editor or coeditor of more than thirty books and journal issues on the political economy of Europe and the United States. His commentary has appeared in the Baltimore Sun, Boston Globe, Financial Times, International Herald Tribune, Philadelphia Inquirer, and national newspapers in Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
