Edward M. Gabriel was the US ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco from 1997 to 2001. During his ambassadorship, a new US-Morocco strategic relationship deepening political, military and economic ties was launched. In other positions during his career, Gabriel has convened multilateral policy forums involving national security, environmental, trade and energy issues, as well as Russian and European nuclear nonproliferation matters. Currently, he is the president and CEO of the American Task Force on Lebanon, a nonprofit educational institution run by Americans of Lebanese ancestry.
