Derreck Kayongo is a renowned expert in environmental sustainability and global health. He is the founder of Global Soap Project, a program that takes donated, melted, purified and reprocessed hotel soap, and redistributes it to vulnerable populations around the world. Kayongo was among CNN’s Top Ten Heroes of the Year in 2011. He is currently working on a book about how he found his calling in life as a refugee in America. He is a graduate of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
