Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj

Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj is an Indian journalist, documentary filmmaker and an equal rights activist. Her work focuses on legal injustices against men in the country due to gender-biased laws. Deepika’s documentary, Martyrs of Marriage, on the misuse of the section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, also known as anti-dowry law, was released globally on Netflix in 2018. India's Sons, her latest film, narrates ordeals of men who were falsely accused of rape. Deepika’s films are well-crafted and well-researched. A noted public speaker, Deepika was featured by the BBC in Asian women to watch out for in their 2017 television series.
