Daniel Martínek is a research associate at the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM) in Vienna, focussing on politics, regional cooperation, education and democratic processes and institutions in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Daniel studied historical sciences in Bologna and Pilsen, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in modern history.
