Cathrine Thorleifsson

Cathrine Thorleifsson is a researcher at the Center for Research on Extremism at the University of Oslo and a senior fellow at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right, specializing in anthropological approaches to the study of nationalism, migration, borders and xenophobia. Thorleifsson earned her PhD in Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2012. She is the author of “Nationalism and the Politics of Fear in Israel” (2015). Her new book, “Nationalist Responses to the Crisis in Europe: Old and New Hatreds,” appears in Routledge’s 2018 Research in Migration and Ethnic Relations Series.
