Benita Sashia Jayanti is a climate and political analyst with expertise in climate diplomacy, geopolitical landscape, and multilateralism across ASEAN, BRICS, the G20 and the UN Climate Conferences (COPs). She works at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) in Jakarta, where she develops policy briefs and commentaries on climate politics and forges strategic cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ASEAN bodies, and regional think tanks and CSOs. Benita studied International Relations at Universitas Diponegoro in Indonesia and International Development at the University of Manchester, England, with a focus on politics, governance and development policy. Outside her work at the IESR, she also serves as the youngest appointed member of Plan International Indonesia’s Board of Trustees for the 2024–2027 term.
