Terra Stanley is an American specialist on Mexican security and gender-based violence. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Political Science at El Colegio de México in Mexico City, where she researches topics on public security with a focus on women and youth. Her thesis examined rape report statistics in Mexican cities and conducted a case study on Quintana Roo. Before that she was a Latin American Studies major at Wellesley College. During her college years, she spent a summer practicing freelance political journalism in Peru.
