Stanislav Matějka is a junior research fellow with the Defense and Security Program at the GLOBSEC Policy Institute (GPI). The mission of the program is to improve security of the transatlantic area by strengthening NATO and the European Union. It does so by supporting strategic adaptation of NATO to new challenges, strengthening international intelligence, defense and security cooperation, and stimulating new ideas about European defense. Matějka’s current research focuses mainly on intelligence and counterterrorism policies in the transatlantic area, particularly in Europe. He is currently mostly preoccupied with the research project aiming to analyze and eventually disrupt the crime-terror nexus. Matějka holds a Master’s degree in American Studies from the Charles University in Prague.
