Simone Colburn is a student at Colorado College and is the winner of the MIT Impact Scholarship and the John & Ellen Moot Community Service Award. She is the founder of Spring Forward, a Youth-to-Youth climate justice education organization. She has also been a leader in the Sunrise Movement, Fridays For Future MA, and the MA Youth Climate Coalition. She now interns with Mi Familia Vota, an organization that promotes the health, safety, and prosperity of Latino communities. Her Op-Eds have been published in The Colorado Sun and The Colorado Times Recorder.
