Shail Kumar

Shail Kumar is the author of the recently published book, “Building Golden India: How to Unleash India's Vast Potential and Transform Its Higher Education System. Now.” Prior to writing the book, he was an administrator at UC Berkeley and UC San Diego. He is the past-president of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Foundation and co-founder of the Pan-IIT alumni movement in the US. He was co-founder and CEO of two start-ups and an executive in several Fortune 500 and Silicon Valley-based corporations. Kumar holds an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington and a B. Tech from IIT Kharagpur.
