Sardar Abdulla is a Kurdish writer, journalist and former Iraqi parliamentarian. He graduated with a Media degree from the University of Sulaimani in 2009. He served in the Iraqi Parliament from 2010 to 2014, leading the Gorran Parliamentary Bloc and participating in the Security and Defense Committee. In 2018, he ran for the Presidency of Iraq. Abdulla also founded — and has been the Editor-in-Chief of — Govar magazine since 1998 and held editorial roles at Hareemi Kurdistan and Rozhnama. An accomplished author in Kurdish and Arabic, his work appears in prominent Arab publications, covering politics, literature, human rights and democracy. His notable books include Attila: The Last Lover and Crown of Roses, with his latest, published in 2024, titled A Brief of Two Journeys in Search of Mawlana Dhu al-Janahain. He continues to write and publish actively.
