Robert Mason

Robert Mason is a Lecturer at the British University in Egypt and a Visiting Fellow in the Centre for International Studies at the London School of Economics. His research interests include the international relations of the Middle East, security studies, development and the politics of oil. Mason’s publications include “Back to Realism for the Promise of an Enduring US-Saudi Relationship” in Middle East Policy (Winter 2014), “Foreign Policy in Iran and Saudi Arabia: Economics and Diplomacy in the Middle East” (I. B. Tauris 2015) and “The International Politics of the Arab Spring: Popular Unrest and Foreign Policy” (Palgrave-Macmillan 2014).
