Rishi A. Kumar is an Indian law student at National Law University, Trichy, where he is also the Teaching Assistant to Dr Peerzada Shah Faisal for Law and Economics. His academic work applies microeconomic theory and welfare economics to legal institutions, financial regulation, taxation laws and family law. His research has been published in journals in India and abroad, and cited by CNN and ABC News, among others. He previously interned with Supreme Court Justice R. Mahadevan, two Madras High Court judges, several law firms and in investment banking. Outside of law, he plays chess and loves running, cycling and hiking.
