Pushparaj V. Deshpande is a political analyst who writes on India and South Asia. He read History at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University and Contemporary India at Oxford University. He has worked on legislation and policy with various members of the Indian parliament, a government committee, a political consulting firm and the Indian National Congress think tank. Deshpande currently heads the research department at Rajya Sabha Television.
