Michael D. Rettig earned his Master's degree in International Relations from New York University, where he specialized in international security and sub-Saharan Africa. His experience with U.S. foreign policy and national security includes past positions at the State Department's Bureau of African Affairs, the National Defense University's Africa Center for Strategic Studies, and the Council on Foreign Relations' Corporate Program.
