Maysa Jihad Alwan is a PhD candidate at the University of Essex, United Kingdom. She graduated from Al-Ma’moon University College in Baghdad in 2000 and obtained her MA in English Literature from the College of Arts of Baghdad University in 2007. She worked as an English literature teacher in the College of Basic Education as well as the College of Languages in Sulaimanyah University from 2008 to 2014. She also conducted administrative and academic work in the College of Languages at the University of Human Development from 2008 to 2014.
