Dr Maurizio Geri is an EU Marie Curie Postdoc fellow who has been working on a three-year project between George Mason University in Washington and Ca’ Foscari in Venice to research the EU-NATO cooperation against Russian and Chinese hybrid warfare, in particular in the energy-technology arena. He is also a lieutenant reservist in the Italian Navy who works as a foreign policy advisor for the general staff of the Ministry of Defence. Maurizio holds a PhD in international security from Old Dominion University in Virginia, an MA in defense studies from the Center of High Studies of Italian Defense and a BA in International Relations from the University of Florence, Italy. He likes debates, discussions and exercising in the gym.
