Khanderao Kand

Khanderao Kand is a director of the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), a Washington DC-based think tank working on India and Indian-related studies on socioeconomic, political and international security matters. He has been a convener of various conferences on topics like Indo-China relations and peace and prosperity in Afghanistan. At FIIDS, Kand has led research on topics like the impact of illegal migration from Bangladesh to India, the ethnic cleansing of Yazidis in Iraq and Indo-American youth in the US. He has been a convener of the Indian Diaspora, hosting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Silicon Valley in September 2015. Kand is an entrepreneurial technologist based in the Silicon Valley. He is also the founder of Global Indian Technology Professionals Association (GITPRO), a global networking platform for technology professionals and entrepreneurs.
