Khairudin Aljunied is an associate professor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the National University of Singapore. He is the author and editor of several books, including “Radicals: Resistance and Protest in Colonial Malaya” (Northern Illinois University Press, 2016) and “Muslim Cosmopolitanism: Southeast Asian Islam in Comparative Perspective” (Edinburgh University Press). A specialist on the history of Islam in Southeast Asia, his research covers topics such as Muslim networks, social movements, intellectual currents and minorities within and beyond the region. He received his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
