Joy Olivier

Joy Olivier is a social entrepreneur, an Ashoka Fellow and a co-founder of IkamvaYouth, an after school program that strives to improve students' graduation results in South Africa. Previously, in addition to her role as Director of IkamvaYouth, she established TEACH South Africa in Western Cape. Her work focuses on redressing inequality and injustice in South Africa through promoting equal access to quality education and opportunities. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Education and Information and Communications Technology from the University of Cape Town, funded through a fellowship from the Potter Foundation.
